Englannin YO-koe kevät 2026: oikeat vastaukset ja analyysi

Tämä artikkeli kokoaa kevään 2026 englannin pitkän oppimäärän YO-kokeen oikeat vastaukset kaikkiin tehtäviin. Vastaukset perustuvat YTL:n alustaviin hyvän vastauksen piirteisiin, jotka julkaistiin 16.3.2026. Lopulliset piirteet julkaistaan toukokuussa 2026.

Osa 4: Kirjallinen tuottaminen

Tehtävä 15: Production (99 p.)

Kirjoitelma 700–1 300 merkkiä yhdestä neljästä aiheesta. Välilyöntejä ja rivinvaihtoja ei lasketa merkkimäärään.

15.1 Are we alone in the universe?
Verkkokeskustelu avaruuselämästä viitaten Fermin paradoksiin ja Draken yhtälöön. Kirjoita oma kommenttisi.

15.2 Forests are our ally in combatting global warming
UNEP:n mukaan metsät ovat keskeisiä ilmaston 2 asteen rajan saavuttamiseksi. Kirjoita essee metsien pelastamisesta International Youth Forumille.

Analyysi

Kuullun ymmärtämisessä aiheet vaihtelivat opiskelutaidoista sukupolvitutkimukseen, pienyrityksiin, pohjoisirlantilaisen arjen haasteisiin, maanviljelijäprotestiin ja Britannian tulviin. Tehtävä 4 oli poikkeuksellinen: siinä tuli täyttää aukot yhdellä sanalla kuullun perusteella, ja useita hyväksyttäviä muotoja on mahdollista.

Luetun ymmärtämisessä haastavimmat kohdat olivat tehtävä 9 (aukkoteksti maustekaupasta), jossa monet vaihtoehdot sopivat pintapuolisesti useampaan aukkoon, sekä tehtävä 11.3, jossa YTL hyväksyi ainoastaan kaupungin houkuttelevuuteen viittaavan vastauksen eikä taloudellisia argumentteja.

Kielioppiosiossa tehtävä 13 testasi monipuolisesti prepositioita, aikamuotoja, artikkeleita ja relatiivilauseita. Tehtävässä 14 YTL hyväksyi useita muotoja moniin aukkoihin, mikä kertoo tehtävän sanastopainotteisuudesta. Erityisesti discerning ja soaring vaativat laajaa aktiivista sanavarastoa.

Kirjoitelmaosiossa neljä hyvin erilaista aihetta antoivat kokelaille valinnanvaraa. Tehtävä 15.3 (hakemuskirje) sai pistosvähennyksen puuttuvasta aloituksesta tai lopetuksesta, ja tehtävissä 15.2 ja 15.4 perustelujen puuttuminen johti viiden pisteen vähennykseen.
